About Will Codex Reset & Our Data
Will Codex Reset helps users follow public reset updates, track personal weekly allowance and plan their usage. It is an independent product, not an official OpenAI website or an endorsed service.
Where do updates come from?
Public updates come from Tibo’s @thsottiaux original posts and saved original records. X API collection is currently paused. Base history is cross-checked between codex-reset.com and AI IDE List, retaining source links and CC BY 4.0 attribution. We independently calculate probabilities, interval statistics and backtests. Saved original evidence takes priority for the latest completion.
How are resets counted?
Mentioning a reset does not confirm completion. We retain source posts, context, review notes and timestamps. Clear completion statements enter event history only after review, with duplicate events merged. Saved resets are counted separately. Unclear applicability remains marked “Scope unconfirmed”.
The 28-day challenge includes only posts with explicit Day markers, merging updates from the same day. Progress follows the latest collected Day, not a date-based guess.
Estimates and freshness
The 24/48-hour figures are historical estimates, not official signals. Confidence, estimate time and methodology accompany them. Stale records remain available for reference; old announcements do not become new countdowns, and collection gaps are not assumed to contain no resets.
A completion report’s publication time does not show when every account received its allowance. Your Codex client or account is the source of truth for personal usage and reset times.
If you spot a discrepancy
Check the original post, estimate time and review history. Distinguish announcements, completion statements and saved resets. If data is stale, plan around your own reset time.
