Privacy & Data | Will Codex Reset
The personal usage tool does not need your OpenAI password or API key. Do not paste passwords, access tokens or other secrets into the /status input.
Your usage is stored in your browser
Remaining percentages, reset times, reading history, time zone, plan, saved resets and alert preferences are kept in this browser’s local storage. Entering usage does not upload these records to our server. Devices and browsers do not sync automatically.
Closing your browser usually keeps local records. Clearing site data, private browsing or switching devices may lose them. Use “Clear local data” to delete stored readings and preferences.
Optional background push
Only when push is available and you consent and enable it does the server store the push endpoint and keys, reset times, display zone, alert preferences and a signed-in identity to isolate subscriptions. Push registration excludes raw /status text and remaining quota. Delivery depends on your browser and push provider.
Disabling all alerts requests deletion of this browser’s server subscription. Retry if offline. The server also removes subscriptions not updated for over 90 days. Delete exported events separately in your calendar app.
Sharing on X
Usage images are generated locally. After copying or downloading an image, you can attach it to an X reply. The draft includes your saved weekly usage and this site’s URL. X is a third-party site; you make the final post under its rules.
Site access and third-party links
Hosting and network providers process requests needed to deliver this site. The current app has no advertising or third-party analytics scripts. Avatars are served locally; source links lead to X.
This site does not automatically sign in to or query your Codex account. Estimates and local countdowns are not live account balances.
